Terms of Service & EULA
By creating an account or using WedGen you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app. This EULA also satisfies Apple's requirement that user-generated-content apps have a licence agreement with a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive users.
1. What WedGen is
WedGen is a private, invite-only mobile app to coordinate a specific wedding — RSVPs, travel, rooms, the function schedule, photos, chat, and notifications — for hosts, guests, event managers, vendors, and hotel staff. It is not a marketplace or a public social network.
2. Eligibility & accounts
- You must be 18+ (or the age of majority where you live) and able to form a binding contract.
- You sign in with your phone number and a one-time code. Keep your device and number secure; you are responsible for activity under your account.
- Access is by invite code; a code grants a role for one event and can be revoked by the hosts.
3. Acceptable use — zero tolerance for objectionable content (UGC)
You agree not to post, upload, or share content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, threatening, obscene, sexual, violent, defamatory, infringing, or otherwise objectionable, and not to impersonate others, spam, or misuse others' personal data. This is a zero-tolerance policy.
- Every piece of user content can be reported and every user can be blocked in-app.
- We use automated filtering plus human review and will remove content and remove/ban users who violate these Terms, typically acting on reports within 24 hours.
- You are solely responsible for content you share and must have the right to share it (including others' photos). Don't upload someone's government ID that isn't your own/your dependant's.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post. You grant WedGen a limited licence to store, process, and display your content within your event to provide the service. We don't sell your content or use it for advertising. Content may be removed for policy violations or when the event is archived/deleted.
5. Payments (if applicable)
Paid plans/upgrades (e.g. larger guest limits or photo storage) are sold as in-app purchases through the Apple App Store / Google Play, who act as merchant and handle applicable taxes. Purchases are governed by the store's terms; refunds are handled by the store. Entitlements apply to the specific event they were bought for.
6. Privacy
Your use is also governed by our Privacy Policy, including how we handle sensitive data such as government IDs and how you can delete your account. You can delete your account and data at any time — see Delete your account.
7. Service availability & changes
We may update, suspend, or discontinue features, and may modify these Terms; material changes will be notified in-app or by email, and continued use means acceptance. Events have a lifecycle and are archived/removed after they end.
8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The app is provided “as is” without warranties to the extent permitted by law. WedGen coordinates information you and other users enter; we are not responsible for the accuracy of RSVPs, travel, room, or schedule details, or for the conduct of guests, vendors, or hotels. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
9. Termination
You may stop using WedGen and delete your account anytime. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or the acceptable-use policy.
10. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India; courts at Jaipur, Rajasthan have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to applicable consumer-protection law.
